Shamanism is one of the oldest spiritual traditions, found in indigenous cultures across the world. At its essence, it teaches a way of living in deep reciprocity with all that surrounds us. It is the remembrance that we are not separate—we are the earth, the animals, the trees, the rocks, the waters, the stars, the sun, and the moon. We are the rhythm of music, the movement of the wind, vibrational beings woven into everything around us.
To walk the shamanic path is to honor all of life—what brings us joy, what awakens our fears and desires, even what stirs our grief. In this honoring, we also honor ourselves. We begin to return to the self we carried at birth—before language, before conditioning—when we could see spirits, speak with animals, and knew we belonged to the universe. Shamanism calls us to strip away societal patterns and rediscover this true self.

COURSE SCHEDULE:
There will be 12 classes held over a period of ten months. All classes are in person at The Margaret Cleveland (Walther Gardens). Classes are one to two Sundays per month from 2 pm to 5 pm. You must be able to attend each class; however, a make-up class can be arranged under certain circumstances.

Kathleen Lester has been a Mesa carrier since 2012, studying with Pamela Panneton of Land Spirits and Jose Louis Herrara of the Andean Research Institute. Kathleen founded the Animal Reiki Alliance in 2010 and animals and the earth have been her guides and partners throughout her journey. She is also a Medical Reiki Master, Animal Communicator and lover of mother earth and all her beings.

Ryan Heller is a Creative Director and Artist with a passion for cultivating transformative experiences that weave art, integrative healing, and storytelling. He is a Mesa carrier within the Andean Shamanic tradition, a Reiki practitioner, and an intuitive healer.
